Brian Talkington

Brian brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to Scissortail Wealth Management. Prior to joining the wealth management industry, he served as Vice President of Commercial Lending for First National Bank of Broken Arrow, where he worked closely with individuals and business owners to evaluate financial needs, analyze cash flow, and develop thoughtful strategies.

Throughout his career, Brian has focused on helping clients identify opportunities, solve complex financial challenges, and make informed decisions that support their long-term goals. His experience in both personal and commercial banking gives him a broad perspective and a practical approach to working with families and business owners.

Brian is committed to serving the Tulsa community as a board member and volunteer mentor at Street School, where he works with high school students and supports the organization’s mission to help students achieve academic and personal success.

His connection to Scissortail goes back well before his career in financial services. Brian and co-founder Todd Welsh have been friends since childhood, when they met in Sunday school at Grace United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.

A native Oklahoman, Brian grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He and his wife, Lynette, live in Tulsa and have three children: Olivia, Luke, and Lucy.

Outside of the office, Brian enjoys spending time with family and friends, grilling, golfing, and running. An accomplished distance runner, he has completed four marathons and more than 15 half-marathons.
